4th XI Captain Kevin Brailey said after the game at Leigh: “Unfortunately we didn't get enough runs but I thought our bowling and fielding was excellent again and can’t help thinking what might have been if we could have eked out 30 more runs. Anyway an enjoyable afternoon and we had two more players who were new to the 4th eleven, Tom Harries and Hardik Delal. In addition to bowling a few overs and fielding very well, they contributed almost 50 of our 122 runs, so great to have them on board.
“We have now played every team in our league once and we start the return fixtures, all in the same order, commencing with Chelmsford 5ths away at Chelmer Park.”
