Our first league game of the season was against a very good Chelmsford team and with a few players turning out for the U11 team, we had quite an inexperienced side. A special note goes to Soumil Jain who turned up to play at very short notice.
Chelmsford scored a very good 309 in their innings with Christiaan Agenbag the pick of the Brentwood Bowlers and the highlight being a great catch by Soumil.
William Bailey and Joshua Knightbridge got Brentwood off to a very good start, taking the total up to 226 after their four overs, but the loss of a few quick wickets in the middle of the innings took the total too far out of reach despite a great effort from the final pair of Zach Puchakalaya and Dhuv Gupta.
