Match report Peter Coe cup Brentwood U13 away at Epping 6/5/13
A very exciting game of cricket began with Epping batting. Brentwood, who to their great credit used 9 bowlers, bowled and fielded very well restricting their hosts 146 for 4 despite a very good 50 from Leo Dolan. Brentwood replied in steady fashion accumulating runs through well-judged singles and the occasional expansive shots. The outcome of the game was always in the balance as Brentwood managed to loose wickets fairly regularly. However due to significant contributions from George Bull 44, James Bainbridge 31, Teddy Mortlock 22 not out, and Luke Brailey 13 they got home with 1 over to spare. This was a real team performance, every member of the team contributed in what turned out to be a thrilling victory |
