Yet another midweek fixture for the U9 team saw us playing against Bentley U9 'A' team on a lovely sunny evening. They fielded a lot of strong players, this evening, which showed, when Brentwood failed to score many runs in the first 10 overs. Their bowlers were strong and on target ,taking 5 wickets in the first 8 overs. Brentwood fought back and scored a respectable 242. Shot of the match came from Sam Sandle who hit a great ball for 6 - our first 6 in the U9's! Our only wicket came from Jack Haynes who had a good over and also produced some fine fielding. Well done to everyone tonight. Thank you to Hannah Knightbridge who filled in for Aston Leaver whilst he helped the U11 team to their victory tonight. |
