On a scorching hot morning, the Brentwood Whirlwinds were at home to Writtle. Brentwood went into bat first - Alex Jessop and Rohan hitting three boundaries to start. The runs were few and far between for the next few overs. Dylan hit a four during his turn at the crease, but Brentwood saved their best til last with Sam and Henry. Great batting from this pair with Sam smashing four boundaries and notching up a total of 19 runs. Brentwood finished on 266. A great display of bowling again this week. Not so many extras given away this time. Rohan had a maiden over with his first, and got 2 wickets in his second spell. Alex also gave away few runs and got himself a wicket. Sam - great bowling and two wickets. Raj chose you as Man of the Match today. The other wickets came from Dylan and Henry. The younger ones in the team also bowled much better this week - just keep practising and you'll soon be taking wickets too! These games are all good experience for you. Excellent wicket keeping from the Taker brothers - well done Dylan and Spencer. Well done also to Emma Willy who had her first hard ball game with us this week.
