The first softball match for the Brentwood U7 team. Our captain for the day, Braden, won the toss and sent Shenfield into bat first. Braden opened the bowling and claimed 3 wickets in his first over. All the boys did exceptionally well considering it was the first match for many of them so very well done. Wickets also for Ayush, Joe, Ben and Jack. The Shenfield boys played very well and got a total of 273. Some very good batting from the Brentwood boys meant it all went down to the last over. Well done to George and Robert who kept their cool and secured the win for Brentwood with a total of 279. It looked as though you all enjoyed yourselves which is what it is all about. Well done everyone! Thanks to all the parents for helping with refreshments and umpiring. |
