Well tried to everyone today. Springfield were a bigger team with nearly all Year 4 players. The difference between us and them was the amount of wickets they got and as you know, we lost 6 runs every time we lose a wicket. Apart from that, every one of you played well. You all had a go at bowling apart from George Mortlock who was our wicket keeper for the whole match. I know you all like to have a go at keeping wicket so we shall give everyone a go who wants to over the season. One of the things to work on is backing up. Before you throw the ball to the stumps, make sure there is someone there to back it up otherwise it could go for more runs or even a four! That’s something we can practice on a Friday night in training. You were all fantastic when it came to us batting. Everyone tried their hardest and had a good time which is what counts. Don’t worry about the score - it’s all good practice and you will learn something every game you play. Man of the match this week - Hritik Kapoor. Well done everyone! |
