Brentwood won their eighth consecutive league match by beating Ilford by seven wickets at Valentines Park and with Wanstead winning at league leaders Chelmsford, it meant Brentwood go back to the top of the table.
Left-arm spinner Charlie Griffiths took 5-36 as Ilford were dismissed for 125, Tom Moore taking 1-4 from six overs, Anthony Giles 2-30 and Ian Belchamber 2-26. Charlie Griffiths then opened the batting and gave innings some early momentum with a run-a-ball 33. Guy Balmford hit 45 and Tom Oakley 36 not out as Brentwood reached their target in 23 overs before the forecast rain arrived.

The 4th XI went desperately close to a win away to Chingford after having their opponents nine wickets down and had to settle for a draw that means they are now unlikely to avoid a bottom-two finish in the 4th Premier Division. Brentwood totalled 197 with Nirav Parekh (71) and George Bull (64) top-scoring. Chingford never threatened to match that score and finished on 83-9, Daniel Ranns finishing with 4-33 and Luke Ranns 2-8. For the full scorecard on Play-Cricket go to the following link:
