We Will Remember Them

On 11 November 2018, 10,000 members of the public will have the unique opportunity to form a procession past the Cenotaph in central London, to pay tribute to those that served during the First World War.
This unique commemoration on the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Armistice, will recognise the significance of the end of the First World War, and the sacrifice made by so many men and women during the war.
To mark the occasion Brentwood Cricket Club is creating a 'Roll of Honour' commemorating those members who gave their lives in the service of their country during the Great War and World War II. The Roll of Honour on the Club's website describes how the outbreak of the First World War 'seriously curtailed' the Club's activities and commemorates two of the first members of the Club to lose their lives whilst on active service: Lieutenants Dougal Campbell Clifford Sewell and Hamilton Henry Travers
A comprehensive record of Club members is not currently available. Brentwood Cricket Club is conducting ongoing research to compile a record of those members who lost their lives in the service of their country. It would be very grateful to hear from members of the general public who have information that might assist in this research.
