Our membership secretary received an email from Christian Howe in January 2016. Christian had played cricket at school and was keen to play again at his local club. He settled in as part of the team very quickly and during his early net sessions, mentioned that he was the proprietor of Howe Chartered Surveyors who have an office in Shenfield  which he had established in 2013 following over 10 years in the industry.

As the conversation developed, we spoke about a variety of club and business subjects including how new businesses like Christian's go about establishing a foothold in their markets and also how crucial sponsorship is to local clubs to help keep down the cost of membership. It was at this point that we agreed that having HCS on board as a sponsor made perfect sense for both company and club.

HCS fits in beautifully with what we look for in a sponsor. First and foremost, they are local and have an active club participant in Christian who knows what we are all about, how we operate and what's important to us. Their business is very much aligned with other club sponsors in the Legal and Construction sectors thus giving ready access to potential business leads and opportunities within the four walls of the Old County Ground pavilion. Similarly, it is an attraction to our other sponsors and club members that they have access to a reputable local surveyor as a part of the club's network.

They've supported our marquee event (Brentwood vs PCA England Masters) for the last two years and see it is a great opportunity to reward staff with a day out of the office enjoying watching international sports stars whilst also entertaining existing and prospective customers.
