U16's Excel in Match and Manners

Posted by Gill Bell on 21 July 2015

The team should not only be praised for their match winning performance, but also their exemplary conduct on the pitch, which has been praised Goresbrook CC.  Dean Barwick, Chairman of the club, took time this morning to email us to congratulate the players on the game and also their conduct on the pitch. Details of his email are below -

I am writing on behalf of Goresbrook Cricket Club following yesterday’s Matchplay game between our respective Under 16 Elevens at The May & Baker Sports Ground.

Firstly, may I congratulate your team on a thoroughly deserved victory – you outplayed us in every department and were worthy winners. Secondly, I wish to compliment your lads on their exemplary behavior and the courtesy and good manners they afforded to our players and officials. It is rare to see such a demonstration of all that is good in cricket in this day and age. It was a big talking point yesterday evening and our Manager, Matthew Jones, asked me to convey his best wishes to your side for the semi finals and hopefully beyond.

You can be rightly proud at Brentwood Cricket Club as the ethics your Colts Management Team instill into your young players will hold you in good stead for the future.

With Very Best Regards

Dean Barwick

Chairman

Goresbrook
